Awards & Accreditations
The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval®
Our hospital has been accredited by The Joint Commission for Disease-Specific Care Certification in Amputation and Stroke Rehabilitation.
The Joint Commission is the nation’s leading and most widely recognized healthcare performance improvement organization. An organization that achieves accreditation shows its commitment to holding itself accountable to a high bar for quality and safety for those they serve.
In the accreditation process, compliance is measured with Joint Commission standards, as well as relevant standards from CMS and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Joint Commission standards are patient centric and focus on organizational systems and processes essential to the delivery of safe, high-quality care. Standards are informed by evidence associated with structures and processes predictive of better care. They include patient rights and education, infection control, medication management, and preventing medical errors.
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
Our facility is CARF Accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation, Amputation Specialty Program, Brain Injury Specialty Program and Stroke Specialty Program.
The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of rehabilitation services through an international accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of patients served.
Achieving CARF accreditation means that our hospital meets CARF’s standards and has demonstrated a commitment to being among the best available to patients. Founded in 1966, CARF is an independent, international, non-profit organization.
Newsweek Recognition
We are proud to be recognized as one of America’s best physical rehabilitation facilities, honored by Newsweek.
Each year, Newsweek analyzes quality metrics from national and federal agencies to determine the country’s best physical rehabilitation facilities. The rankings are based on quality of care, quality of service, quality of follow-up care, accommodations and amenities.
